Frequently Asked Questions

Can't find the answer to your questions? Please consult our knowledge base or contact us.

Regarding geographic redundancy, are sites available from multiple data centers (e.g. France and Canada) or only from a single data center?

The customer can choose the location of his web hosting. Two locations are available: Europe (in France and Switzerland) or in Canada (in Quebec). There is the possibility of having two accommodations and thus having redundancy in the event of a problem in one of the locations.

If I understood correctly, The World hosting is stored in data centers in Canada, France and Switzerland. What about backups and N0C storage files? Are they stored in the same data centers or is there some sort of alternation (for example, hosting in France and backups/N0C storage in Canada)? In particular, I would like to know if setting up backups on N0C storage is a good strategy.

Knowing that you already benefit from daily N0C (remote data center) backups, we recommend using N0C Storage for massive files. For example:

Here's what's included in our plans:

  • 100 GB of storage with The World N0C.
  • 200 GB with HybridCloud N0C (coming soon).
  • Unlimited bandwidth, with no incoming or outgoing fees.

Technical specifications:

  • High-performance storage (hot storage).
  • Certified datacenters: Tier III, ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 50001, SSAE 16, SOC 2 Type II.
  • Guaranteed availability rate of 99.95%.

I don't need to restore anything right away, but if I ever run into a problem, how do I recover my sites from your backups?

Backups are located in another data center as a security measure. So even if the infrastructure goes up in flames (rest assured, that's not likely to happen!), we will have backups. To carry out a restoration, simply proceed via your hosting panel.
